Code Problems
- After minimizing the windows version, Windows now and then becomes unresponsive for a while, up to a few minutes.
Graphics Problems
- Doors swivel sometimes when the auto-pickup functions asks if an item shall be picked up. - Floors can shift when the auto-pickup functions asks if an item shall be picked up. -> I'll look into this sometime soon. It doesn't cause harm, but it is irritating. For the time being, it seems best to turn off "Prompt before picking things up", and maybe also "Pick things up by default". - Ball spells/breath attacks might be displayed wrong - to be tested - The map (m) command doesn't work well (found in 0.2.3, improved in 0.2.4+) - Floor tile under "rubble" is not drawn. (found in 0.2.8.3) - Novice paladin has wrong image assigned (naga shadow) (found in 0.2.8.5)
Gameplay Problems
- Movement keys appear to be 45° rotated against the view. One gets used to it, so it doesn't seem urgent to change (and the last try to change it failed). This entry is here mostly in order to explain the fact.
Open Questions
Iso-Angband could make use of color (range) 0. in Angband this is just one color, black, and black characters on black screen are pretty much invisible, therfore this is unused in the config files. In Iso-Angband this is a range of 8 colors, which must start with black for compatibility reasons, but can then ascend into any sort of color. Does it make sense to use this range for more visual diversity? And what color/hue should be used for that range?
Recently fixed
- The big look command (L) doesn't work -> Tested with 0.2.6, seems to work alright. - Giant white mouse has image of white snake (found in 0.2.6) - Giant white rat has image of white snake (found in 0.2.6) - Giant gray rat has image of gray snake (found in 0.2.6) -> Should be fixed in 0.2.7 - Trap images have a graphics glitch for floor underlay (found in 0.2.5) -> seems to be fixed with 0.2.7.1 - Rodent skeleton is assigned to a wrong tile (some sort of column) (found in 0.2.8.2) - Food ration has wrong color in config (found on 0.2.8.2, was ok before) - Arrows have wrong tile assigned (found in 0.2.7.1) - Running stops when in the underlying Angband engine a panel change happens. -> I could not reproduce this in 0.2.8.3. Running seems to work just fine. Maybe I changed some option. - Had a crash when using the look (l) command. Could be reproduced, but vanished after I moved my character. Reason unknown. (found in 0.2.7) -> Found this again in 0.2.8.2 - I have now changed the cursor painting routine. Will do more testing to see if the fix helps. Since this is hard to reproduce, it might take a while. At the moment I'm positive that I could fix this annoying problem. (Seems to be fixed in 0.2.8.5)
